Large trucks prohibited on Canal Road

TOWN OF LENOX, NY – Effective upon installation of signage on Canal Road and Roberts Street in the Town of Lenox, Madison County, large trucks are prohibited from use, under provisions in section 1650 of NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law, on Canal Road from North Court Street in Wampsville to NYS Rt 13 (Peterboro Street) in Canastota.

A large truck is defined as a tractor or truck and trailer combination whose trailer length is forty-five (45) feet or more.

Use of any restricted highway except as noted above is a permit violation and grounds for revocation of the permit and imposition of a civil penalty pursuant to section 385(15)(j)  of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
