Boxing HOF Parade and Nate Race street closures

Boxing Hall Of Fame

CANASTOTA, NY – The International Boxing Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Weekend will be held June 6-9, 2024 in and around the Village of Canastota. Due to two major public events happening within the village that weekend, several streets will temporarily be closed to traffic Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. They are as follows:

SATURDAY, JUNE 8
Nate Race
Start time: 8:30 a.m.
Starts and ends in front of St. Agatha’s Church

Wilson Avenue, Canastota

All or part of the following streets will be closed before, during and after the event:

Main St. (north and south)
Maple Ave.
Wilson Ave.
Lewis St.
Chapel St.
Lamb Ave.
Canal St.
Center St.
Railroad St.
James St.
Hickory St.
Pleasant St.
Rasbach St.
Belleview Dr.
Stroud St.
Depot St.
Commerce St.
BeeBee Bridge
Yorton Rd.
New Boston St.
Grago Blvd.
Depolitti Ave.
Howard St.

All or part of the following streets will be closed before, during and after the event:

Peterboro St. (north and south)
Hickory St.
First St.
Second St.
Third St.
High St.
Prospect St.
Wilson Ave.
Maple St.
Spencer St.
James St.
Rasbach St.
Elm St.
Chapel St.
Canal St.
Center St.
Railroad St.

Other streets may be closed as necessary. Residents and travelers should expect increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic throughout the weekend. Watch for “road closed” and “no parking” signs throughout the village. Police will ticket and tow illegally parked vehicles at the owner’s expense. The Village of Canastota reserves the right to expand or otherwise alter these closures on an as-needed basis.
