Canastota Community Carnival 2024

CANASTOTA, NY – The Village of Canastota is pleased to announce the annual Canastota Community Carnival will return for a third year this coming September.

The end-of-summer event, which is organized by the Village of Canastota, Canastota Fire Company, and Canastota Recreation Commission, will be held September 12-14, 2024. It will be located at the Douglas Chandler Firemen’s Field on Hickory Street.

Rides and games will be provided by Ontario Amusements of Oswego, New York. Midway hours are as follows:
– Thursday, September 12: 5:00p to 9:00p.
– Friday, September 13: 5:00p to 9:00p.
– Saturday, September 14: 12:00p to 4:00p and 5:00p to 9:00p.*

*Rides will be closed for a one-hour employee meal break from 4:00-5:00p. The field and pole barn will remain open.

Ride tickets are $1.00 each, and the rides take four or five tickets. An unlimited ride wristband will be available for $20 for one four-hour session.

A wide selection of food items will be available throughout the carnival. The Canastota Fire Department will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, walking tacos, pizza, soda, and water. Ontario Amusements will offer chicken tenders, french fries, candy/caramel apples, sno-cones, popcorn, fried dough, lemonade, and cotton candy. Mama Stove’s will also have a food trailer on site on Saturday.

There will be live music featured from 6:00-9:00p all three evenings:
– Thursday: JVD Country
– Friday: East Shore Allstars
– Saturday: Old Clay Stone

Free parking will be available on the Canastota Dairy lawn at the corner of Hickory Street and Main Street, across the street from ZEMs.

This is a family-friendly event. Alcohol will not be allowed on the premises. The Canastota Police Department will be present throughout the carnival to ensure a fun and safe environment for children and adults alike.
