National Grid performs second Day of Service in Canastota

CANASTOTA, NY – The Village of Canastota would like to publicly thank National Grid and its employees for coming to our village for a second time and performing community service work as part of their “Project C” campaign.

19 National Grid employees worked at three sites around the village on Friday, September 27, 2024. The completed projects include:

– Painting the Clark Park monument sign
– Staining the Clark Park gazebo
– Painting the Recreation Park concession stand
– Scraping and painting the Main Street and Diamond Street bridges over the Erie Canal

This was the second “Day of Service” performed by National Grid employees in a two-week period. On September 16 approximately 30 employees worked with the Canastota DPW to complete several improvement projects at the pool and playground facility on Spencer Street.
