Canastota paving project 2024

CANASTOTA, NY – The Village of Canastota will be undertaking its annual street paving project beginning October 21, weather permitting.

The following streets will be milled and repaved this year:

– W. Hickory Street from S. Main Street to Stroud Street
– Pleasant Street from S. Main Street to Stroud Street
– Douglas Heights Drive from Will New Boulevard to the town/village line (near Mary Lynn Drive)

Dolomite Products of Canastota will be the paving contractor. The project is primarily funded by the New York State Department of Transportation CHIPS program.

The Canastota Department of Public Works also has (or has plans to) repair and patch smaller portions of the following streets: W. Park Street, Grago Boulevard, Main Street, Barlow Street, W. Rasbach Street, Spencer Street, Clark Street, Prospect Street, and Delano Avenue.

This is in addition to the Route 13/N. Peterboro Street paving project currently underway by the New York State Department of Transportation and its contractors.

Drivers are asked to slow down and be extra cautious around paving crews over the next few weeks while this important road work is completed.
