Canastota Community Carnival 2025
CANASTOTA, NY – The Village of Canastota is pleased to announce the annual Canastota Community Carnival will return for a fourth year this September.
The late summer event, which is organized by the Village of Canastota, Canastota Fire Company, and Canastota Recreation Commission, will be held September 4-6, 2025. It will be located at the Douglas Chandler Firemen’s Field on Hickory Street.
Rides and games will be provided by Ontario Amusements of Oswego, New York. Midway hours are as follows:
– Thursday, September 4: 5:00p – 9:00p.
– Friday, September 5: 5:00p – 9:00p.
– Saturday, September 6: 12:00p – 4:00p and 5:00p – 9:00p.*
*Rides will be closed for a one-hour employee meal break from 4:00p – 5:00p. The field and pole barn will remain open.
Ride tickets are $1.00 each, and the rides take four or five tickets. An unlimited ride wristband will be available for $25 for one four-hour session. There are two separate ride sessions on Saturday: 12:00p – 4:00p and 5:00p – 9:00p.
A wide selection of food items will be available throughout the carnival. The Canastota Fire Company will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, soda, and water. Ontario Amusements will offer chicken tenders, french fries, candy/caramel apples, sno-cones, popcorn, fried dough, lemonade, and cotton candy. A food truck will also be on-site each evening to provide additional options. Those vendors will be announced at a later date.
Free parking will be available on the Canastota Dairy lawn at the corner of Hickory Street and Main Street, across the street from ZEMs. The carnival organizers would like to thank Canastota Dairy for allowing the use of their field.
The Canastota Community Carnival is a family-friendly event. Alcohol will not be allowed on the premises. The Canastota Police Department will be present throughout the duration of the carnival to ensure a fun and safe environment for children and adults alike.
