Village installs new dog waste stations
If you take a look around the Village of Canastota you may notice the Department of Public Works has installed several dog waste stations to make walking a more pleasant experience for human and canine alike.
The new stations are (or will be) in the following locations:
– The Recreation Park on N. Main Street
– The village pool/playground on Chapel Street at Spencer Street
– The municipal parking lot on E. Canal Street near Diamond Street
– The entrance to the rail trail on Main Street near James Street
– The entrance to the walking trail at the end of Port Street
Please utilize these stations when walking your dog around the village. They are furnished with small plastic bags as well as a receptacle for disposal of the waste.
Anyone with questions or comments regarding this program may contact the Canastota village office at (315) 697-7559 or village@canastota.com. Additional stations may be installed as demand and budgeting permit. Also, please notify the village office if a station needs to be cleaned or restocked.
