National Grid comes to Canastota for Day of Service

CANASTOTA, NY – Dozens of National Grid employees, along with the Canastota Department of Public Works and members of the community, gathered in Canastota for a “Day of Service” on Monday, September 16, 2024.

More than 30 National Grid employees, many of whom live in and around Canastota, came to our village to help with several improvement projects at the village pool and playground complex on Spencer Street and Chapel Street. Those projects included:

– Painting the pool building
– Assembling and erecting two gazebos
– Repairing a damaged chain link fence
– Installing a rope railing
– Cleaning and painting a curb
– Painting light poles

The Village of Canastota Board of Trustees and office staff wish to sincerely thank National Grid and its employees for their generous donation of supplies, time, personnel, and food to help support our pool and playground. It is greatly appreciated.
