Notice of Public Hearing: Planned Development District

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VILLAGE OF CANASTOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been presented to the Village Board of the Village of Canastota, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on August 6, 2025 proposed Local Law No. B of 2025, “A Local Law Creating the Canalside Pocket Neighborhood Planned Development District.”  Said Local Law, if enacted, would approve the application and development plans submitted by Housing Visions Consultants, for the premises located 160 Center Street (Tax Map No. 36.63-1-2) in the Village of Canastota consisting of approximately 2.56± acres, to establish the “Canalside Pocket Neighborhood PD” on said lands, subject to the provisions of Article VI of Chapter 230 of the Code of the Incorporate Village of Canastota.  Said Local Law has been introduced and will be considered for enactment pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law.  The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Village Clerk’s Office at the Village Offices located at 205 South Peterboro Street, Canastota, New York for inspection by all interested persons during normal business hours.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on May 19, 2025, the Village Board determined that this proposed Local Law is a Type I Action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act and a negative declaration was adopted on August 6, 2025.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Village Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the said Village Hall on September 3, 2025 at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard.
