Annual Canastota Holiday Parade of Lights

Activities for the Day
8am – 11 am: Breakfast with Santa @ Canastota American Legion, 325 S. Peterboro St.
11am – 1:45 pm: Horse Drawn Wagon/Tractor Rides @ Firemans Field, Hickory St – Donate a Canned Food item. Mrs. Claus, Cinderella & Batman will be in the area & at ZEMs. Face painting there also.
11am – 5 pm: Food served & sold by the Canastota Fire Department.
11 am – 5 pm: Vendors located on two floors @ the Canastota Fire Station. Winners of Canastota Schools Coloring Contest will be on display. Write a Letter to Santa & Drop in Mailbox here.
11am – 6 pm: Corner Building on Center & Peterboro St. – Basket, Tree & Wreath Raffles – Holiday Photo Booth
1pm – 3 pm: Reptile Encounter in Municipal Building, 205 S. Peterboro St.
1 pm – 2:30: T Swift @ Fire Station, E. Center St. – Singing & Bracelet Making
2 pm: Holiday Fun Run @ Lenox Rail Trail, S. Peterboro St. Prizes Awarded for Best Group Theme, Most Festive and Ugliest Sweater.
2:30 – 4 pm: Ornaments with Connected Community @ Municipal Building.
4 pm: Kids Games @ Community Bank & Blues Brothers of CNY performing at the Fire Station
5:30 pm: Happy Haggs performing on Peterboro Street, in front of Post Office
6 pm: Holiday Parade of Lights, starting at Roberts Street ~ We would like to recognize our First Responders this year as Grand Marshals for the Parade. Holiday Tree Lighting immediately following Parade at Key Bank. Hot Cocoa & Donut Holes provided.
7 – 9 pm: Little League Concession Stand will be serving food & drinks, prior to Winter Fireworks
8 pm: Winter Fireworks at the Recreation Field
Throughout the day: You will be welcomed by greeters who can answer any questions you may have. Canastota’s Elves will be in their Snow Globe, Food Trucks/Food Stands will be available, & 50/50 Raffles. Salvation Army Bell Ringers will be Downtown. Karoke by Emily Perry at 11, Brent Buneo leading the CHS Select Choir at 2, Sounds of Praise at 3 & Trio de Noel at 4 p.m.
~ All located Downtown by the 9/11 Memorial (Reflection Park). Also, the Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo Tram will be transporting people around to all of the events!
