NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Canastota Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on March 17, 2025 at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the courtroom of the municipal building at 205 S. Peterboro Street, Canastota, New York. The public hearing is intended to obtain the views of citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties on the housing and community development needs of the Village and eligible Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) activities, and to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the Village’s proposal to submit a Community Development Block Grant application to the New York State Office of Community Renewal for funding to support significant investment and continued growth at Canastota Dairy.

A summary of the CDBG program will be presented at the public hearing as well as details regarding the proposed project. The hearing facility is handicapped accessible. The Village encourages public comment and participation in the identification of needs and in the preparation of the grant application.

Written comments are invited and can be submitted via email to village@canastota.com using the subject line “CDBG Public Hearing.” Written comments must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 17, 2025.
