Madison County Adds Second Dose Boosters to Clinic Lineup

Wampsville, NY – For those eligible, Madison County Health Department (MCDOH) will start offering second COVID-19 boosters at its April 15th clinic. Appointments for the April 15th clinic are available now online. Additional clinics through June are scheduled and appointments for all clinics are available by calling 315-366-2361. Walk-ins are also welcome during clinic hours.

Who is eligible for a 2nd booster dose?

Currently only adults age 50+ and some immunocompromised individuals can now get a second booster at least 4 months after the first booster. If you are under 50 years of age, talk with your healthcare provider or talk to a Madison County Public Health Nurse at 315-366-2361 to find out if you may be eligible for a second booster.

Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available to choose from for second booster doses.

Vaccination Clinics:

This clinic is offering 2nd booster doses only:

  • When: April 15, 2022 (Friday)
  • Time: 9:00am-12:00pm – 2nd booster only clinic
  • Where: Madison County Health Department, Building 5 (behind the DMV), 138 N Court Street, Wampsville

These clinic dates are good for 1st and 2nd doses, 1st and 2nd booster doses, as well as other regular immunizations the Department offers:

  • When: April 19, 2022 (Tuesday)
  • Time: 1:00-3:30 pm
  • Where: Madison County Health Department, Building 5 (behind the DMV), 138 N Court Street, Wampsville Madison County Health Department
  • When: April 27, 2022 (Wednesday)
  • Time: 9:00-11:30 am

  • When: May 11, 2022 (Wednesday)
  • Time: 9:00-11:30 am

  • When: May 24, 2022 (Tuesday)
  • Time: 3:00-5:30 pm

Appointments for clinics are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.  Appointments for April 15th can be made at https://www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/2675/Get-a-COVID-19-Vaccination or call 315-366-2361 to schedule for any clinic by phone.
