Mayor Warner named to NYCOM committee
Canastota Mayor Rosanne Warner Appointed to NYCOM’s Policy Committee on Employee Relations and Public Safety
Mayor Rosanne Warner of the Village of Canastota has been appointed to the Employee Relations and Public Safety Policy Committee of the New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM). The appointment was announced by NYCOM President Francis X. Murray, Mayor of the Village of Rockville Centre.
As a member of the Policy Committee on Employee Relations and Public Safety, Mayor Warner will be directly involved in providing policy recommendations to the NYCOM Executive Committee and staff, developing positions on various pieces of legislation, and considering new legislative proposals that will benefit cities and villages. This committee focuses on a wide range of issues, including collective bargaining, civil service, public safety, health insurance and ethics.
In announcing the appointment, Mayor Murray stated, “Given Mayor Warner’s extensive local government experience and knowledge, we are pleased to have her involved with NYCOM in this important undertaking which will strengthen our organization’s advocacy efforts. I know Mayor Warner will be a tremendous asset to the policy committee.”
The Conference of Mayors represents city and village governments in New York State and has 573 city and village members. NYCOM has been in existence since 1910.
