2023 Holiday Trash Pickup Schedule

Here is Bliss Environmental Services’ trash and recycling pickup schedule for the Village of Canastota in 2023.

Week of Memorial Day (Monday, May 29th)
All routes are delayed one day.

Week of Independence Day (Tuesday, July 4th)
Monday: No change in pickup.
No pickup on Tuesday, July 4th. Tuesday’s pickup will be delayed one day to Wednesday, July 5th.

Week of Labor Day (Monday, Sept 4th)
All routes are delayed one day.

Week of Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 23rd)
Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes are normal.

Week of Christmas
No pickup on Monday, December 25th (Christmas Day).
Monday and Tuesday pickups are delayed one day each.

Week of New Year’s Day
No pickup on Monday, January 1st.
Monday and Tuesday pickups are delayed one day each.

Bliss asks that all property owners place their bins out the night before a holiday pickup listed above, as daily pickup times may differ from the typical schedule.

Pickups will be normal on all other holidays.

Please note that the village’s contract for trash and recycling services expires in 2023, so this schedule *may* change if a different company wins the bid.
